Principal’s Welcome

I am genuinely honoured to serve as the principal of a school with a rich legacy of offering state education and receiving immense support from the local community. Founded in 1954, Lalor Primary School stands as a well-equipped educational institution in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, presently catering to 230 students, cherishing and honouring our unique blend of backgrounds.

At Lalor Primary School our purpose is to help each other better understand the world we live in, to be good citizens and lifelong learners. Our community chooses Lalor Primary School because it is a great place to learn – learning is of high quality, it is engaging and fun. We are happy, safe and supportive, and everyone is included and involved as we work and learn together.

Our success is evidenced by our NAPLAN results which indicate student growth in English and Mathematics exceeding the similar school and state averages in grades 3 to 5 and again from grade 5 to year 7 as well as our above state average results in the annual

Lalor Primary School’s priorities are that students engage in high quality learning and demonstrate continual improvement. That students feel safe and supported in an environment that builds capacity for resilience and socialisation and that families feel included and involved. There is always open and effective communication between home and school.

Working together students leave Lalor Primary School as resilient, respectful learners who are confident, curious and creative critical thinkers and problem solvers. Our students are literate, numerate and active, happy people who socialise and communicate well.

As Principal I am available to assist both you and your child in any way I can. Our learning community strives to provide a quality education for everyone.
