Principal’s Welcome

I am extremely proud to be the Principal of a school that has a long history of providing State Education and which is so strongly supported by the local community. Established in 1954, Lalor Primary School is a well-resourced school in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne, with a current enrolment of 240 students that embraces and celebrates our diversity.

Our purpose is to educate our students so they better understand the world we live in, to be good citizens and lifelong learners. Our community chooses Lalor Primary School because it is a great place to learn – learning is of high quality, it is engaging and fun. We are happy, safe and supportive, and everyone is included and involved as we work and learn together.

Our success is evidenced by our NAPLAN results which indicate student growth in English and Mathematics exceeding the similar school and state averages in grades 3 to 5 and again from grade 5 to year 7.

Lalor Primary School’s priorities are that students engage in high quality learning and demonstrate continual improvement. That students feel safe and supported in an environment that builds capacity for resilience and socialisation and that families feel included and involved. There is always open and effective communication between home and school.

Working together student’s leave Lalor Primary School as independent, persistent, resilient and respectful learners who are confident, curious, creative critical thinkers and problem solvers, who are inclusive, reflective and driven, yet open minded. Our students are literate, numerate and active, happy people who socialise and communicate well.

As Principal I am available to assist both you and your child in any way I can. Our learning community strives to provide a quality education for everyone.
