In last week’s blog post, I outlined the methods Lalor PS employs when communicating to families. In this post, I will outline the ways in which you can talk to us.
Term One ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions will be held on Monday, March 20 2017. Parents will have the opportunity to book in a short session time on this day to meet with their child’s teacher. The time will be used to discuss and share any information or concerns you feel may be important. It is an opportunity for you to develop a positive partnership with the classroom teacher and is not a reporting session. Term Two In term Two we will conduct three-way conferences in which student, parent and teacher will have the chance to provide input into the student’s successes and areas for improvement. Informal meetings There are times in which parents will be seeking a more informal meeting with teachers and we ask that these be approached in one of the following ways;
In your message, you can request that the teacher call you either for a brief chat or to arrange a mutually agreeable time to meet. These methods for contact are preferable to the spontaneous approach of teachers before or after school. Student welfare Rae Parrish and our welfare officer, Ian Findlay are available for any welfare issues you may want to discuss. Ian is available on Tuesday and Thursday each week. Escalation of issues I am generally available at the office for any enquiries, issues or questions you may have. Please feel free to call the office to make an appointment with me or simply come and see me during the day. We look forward to touching base with all of our Lalor PS families over the coming months. Have a wonderful week. Trevor Robinson Principal Comments are closed.
