2019 NAPLAN for Lalor Primary School shows that our learning programs are having a significant impact on the outcomes for students.
Highlights include;
  • Every student in year 3 is at or above the National Minimum Standard for Reading, Writing, Spelling and Numeracy.
  • 92% of grade 3 students are above the National Minimum Standard for Grammar & Punctuation.
  • 97% of year 5 students are at or above the National Minimum Standard for Reading and Numeracy.
  • 90% are at or above the National Minimum Standard for Writing and Spelling.
  • 87% of year 5 students are at or above the National Minimum Standard for Grammar & Punctuation.
In regards to the top 2 bands of NAPLAN Lalor Primary School;
  • Has performed better than similar schools in writing and numeracy at grade 3 and is equal in reading.
  • Has performed better than similar schools in Writing, Reading, Spelling and Numeracy at grade 5 and is equal in Grammar & punctuation.
  • Is performing better than the Whittlesea Network at year 3 in writing.
  • Is performing better than the Whittlesea Network at year 5 in numeracy and writing.
Student growth from year 3 to year 5 showed that our students outperformed the state in numeracy and writing and outperformed the Whittlesea Network in Reading and Spelling.
The school can now track student data from year 5 to year 7. In 2019 we increased the amount of students in the top 2 bands of NAPLAN in Reading, Writing and Numeracy and outperformed the state in student growth in reading and numeracy.

These results are the product of our hard working and dedicated staff, students and parents. Together it is amazing what we can achieve.

There is always room for more improvement…but for now let’s celebrate!
