During term four the 5/6 students have been learning about business. We have learnt about planning a business, budgeting and all about money. Students then worked in teams to create their own business. We had a range of businesses selling milkshakes, lollies, games, origami, drawing and fairy floss.
On Wednesday the 18th of November the students opened their business doors and sold their products to our students and parents at recess. It was lots of fun and very delicious!! The 5/6 team raised an amazing $1389.75 for the school. Thank-you to everyone who made our business day such a learning, fun and fund raising success.
The 5/6's made a display for the Remembrance Day ceremony! We are very proud of the grade 5/6 students who spoke at the ceremony as we reflected on past and current wars and soldiers. The Flanders poppy has long been a part of Remembrance Day, the ritual that marks the Armistice of 11 November 1918. Lest we forget!
