We’d like to take our hats off to the Green Hat Workshop that came to Lalor Primary School today! Together we used PLANKS to create spectacular constructions, think differently about maths and science and practice our team building skills. What a great mix of creativity, social development and imagination!
What an amazing three days away. Despite the early rain, Camp Wyuna put on a fantastic show for our Grade 5/6s. Whilst on camp we enjoyed a wide range of activities including: making delicious wood fire pizzas; bike riding to Point Lonsdale Light House; beachcombing with the locals; beach games; night walks; movie nights and many fun times. Laughter, excitement and exhaustion, all rolled into one experience!
Our Grade 5/6 students took a walk down to our local Lalor Woolworths store to discover the colourful world of fresh produce.
In keeping with our "Think Global, Act Local" Inquiry unit that is focused on Sustainability, the Grade 5/6s are learning about the impact that humans have on the environment and are being proactive to minimise their global footprint and be more ecologically minded.
The Grade 5/6s have been working hard making flower pots to thank the special people in their lives.
The Grade 5/6s enthusiastically participated in a workshop with Michael Ymer during which they were engaged with lots of fun and hands-on Numeracy activities.
The Grade 5/6s had a fantastic and enlightening excursion to the Parliament House of Victoria, where some lucky students were able to meet members of Parliament.
The Grade 5/6s participated in an Auskick super clinic to have fun while building some footy skills.
The Grade 5/6s enjoyed a cultural celebration over lots of amazing and scrumptious cultural dishes! It was yum and it was fun! :)
